Got Mixed Grain on Accident?
Accidents happen, but with the Gentle Roll you can separate mixed grains with ease. The Gentle Roll does a great job of separating soybeans from corn and the model pictured, 24-4-HBC, is a unit that does exactly that. The mixed grain enters the inlet and flows through the rotary drum. In each screen section, the soybeans are removed and the corn continues to discharge out of the 'overs' hopper. This machine has a special discharge under all four sections allowing for a screw conveyor to be mounted to reclaim all the soybeans. This Gentle Roll was mounted on a trailer for mobility, allowing the customer to use it at multiple locations. We can accommodate any configuration you may have at your facilities or provide a Mobile Gentle Roll.
Corn Cleaner for Wet Mill
This Gentle Roll is going to a Wet Corn Milling operation to sift and scalp corn at 12,000 bushels/hr prior to the milling process. This Gentle Roll is replacing an older Gentle Roll which has run approximately 450 million bushels of corn over its life. The Gentle Roll is built to withstand the harsh 24/7 operation and the elements
as it will be located outside, on top of a silo. The first three sections of the cleaner remove any fines or undersized material, and the last two discharge the clean corn through 1/2" screens. All of the oversized material disharges at the end of the drum into the 'overs' hopper. We lined the fines hoppers with UHMW for flow-ability and wear, then lined the corn hoppers with ceramic tile for extra durability to wear. The galvanized finish ensures longevity especially in the elements. One of the many benefits to this machine is the fact that you can stand next to it while running 12,000 BPH and you hardly notice it is running because of its quiet operation. Wood Pellet Screener
This video is a Gentle Roll Screener running wood pellets. It is cleaning at about 30 tons/hr with 2 screens removing the fines. The Gentle Roll conditions the pellets by buffing the pellet ends to reduce the creation of fines from future handling. This is achieved by the unique rolling action of the screener.
