The Gentle Roll works great as a pellet screener because of the gentle handling yet highly efficient screening. Installation is also simple because the machine does not have any vibrating or shaking parts to it so there is no need for heavy structure other than to support the operating weight of the machine and wind load if outside. We also offer Hot-dipped Galvanized finish on all our machines. This is great for customers that want to put a machine out in the elements.
Edible Beans Screener
Gentle Handling of Edible beans is always a concern and the screening process is no exception. This screener was built to screen and scalp Great Northern beans, and Pinto beans at 3000 BPH. To protect the quality of the beans we lined the inlet and scalping hoppers with a low durometer rubber and put a let-down ladder inside the scalping hoppers. The Gentle rollover action of the Gentle Roll makes it the ideal screener for edible beans and the added options show the value and our commitment to providing the customer with the right machine for their application.
Pet food Screener
Pet food screening is another application that the Gentle Roll handles extremely well. When the kibbles pass through the Gentle Roll, they are tumbled and cause fines that would be created in the bag to be removed. This buffing effect helps to eliminate fines from being created due to handling. When a customer opens up a bag of dog food or cat food, they do not want to see fines in the bottom, and that is why the Gentle Roll
is the right choice for screening. The unit pictured was built for a pet food manufacturer and is used to sift, scalp, and separate dog and cat food. This unit was built without hoppers or legs as the customer was going to build their own hoppers and suspend the unit with cables. Suspending the unit is easy because there is no vibrating or shaking parts to the screener. The Valve assembly and Sidewinder Conveyor have also been used extensively in conjunction with many Gentle Rolls in the pet food industry.
